Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out my website, I really appreciate the support. I am just starting off with this whole music thing with the help of Sunnyside Productions. On my music sidebar you can find two other songs I have written and recorded at home, not as good of quality but you can get a taste of my genre. I have a few different music influences. I would say the main genre I listen to is 90's country however, I am a huge fan of The Lumineers, James Bay and Ray Lamontagne. I am still experimenting with my personal genre so I'd love to get some feedback! Also if you have any suggestions for cover songs I'd love to hear!
Arson just won the song of the month down at the Berkeley chapter of West Coast Songwriters to be entered into the end of the year competition. The winner of that competition moves on the the regional competition. Wow I feel so blessed to have all the support. My phone has been ringing off the hook from my family and friends congratulating me! If anyone is interested in attending the end of the year competition I'll be posting details as it gets closer.
Kyle Lino and I just recently teamed up as a duo, the name is still up in the air but we're still thinking. Kyle joined me yesterday down at the Berkley chapter of West Coast Song Writer's. We preformed Six Shooter and ended up winning song of the month! Kyle has really taken my music to a whole other level. Kyle on lead guitar and vocals is unbelievable! unfortunately we did not get a recording of the event last night but soon enough you will be able to attend a gig of our own! With some more practice of course! Anyways, we will head back down to Berkley in July for the end of the year competition, more details will be coming.
Unlike the times in the past, last ight was not peer judged. Rob Carona was one of the two judges that night who took a big interest in Six Shooter. He himself is a musician who toured with Kenny Chesney! But what really excited me was he teaches classes on songwriting and gives full critiques to those who submit their songs to him. He gave us a few things to work on with Six Shooter and he asked for us to keep him updated. A truly great guy to talk with.
You're looking at the excited faces of a new great duo, so keep your eye out for our next gig ;)
Kyle and I went down to San Rafael last night to perform Ruthless at the Fenix. We had a blast but learned we need to be a little more careful with our sound check because Kyle's guitar was too quiet...It was dissappointing but you live and learn! We got some great photographs from it though :)
Queen Anne's Lace enter the Fender Contender Challenge to compete to be the opening act at Country Summer June 5th at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. We made it into the top ten and have been working hard to get the word out to vote us into the final four! Bad Ass Coffee has been a strong supporter of our group and let us play two live showings on April 10th where many of our family and friends gathered to listen and vote. We couldnt be more grateful for this amazing opportunity and for all the support we have recieved in the last few weeks. What a fun experience this has been. Bad Ass was actually our first live performance as the band Queen Anne's Lace which now includes our amazing base player, Brandon Miller!
We had costumers tally up the votes they cast during the preformance, great work!!!
Queen Anne's Lace made it to the final four of the fender contender challenge!!!! Please keep voting :) We have had such amazing support.
We performed last night at Hopmonk in Sebastopol
Also we have been working on recording our songs with our drummer Daniel Townsend!
Napa Valley Farmer's Market
We had such a blast playing at the Napa Valley Farmer's Market. Everyone was so supportive. Some of the vendors were so sweet, they gave us fresh veggies and carmel corn :) Hope to be back in Napa soon!
